For the first time in school history UCHS has a state champion. As the boys won the 2016 NCISAA 1A Boys' Golf State Championship.

For the first time in school history, UCHS has state champions on the female side. Winning the 2020 NCISAA Division 3 Girls Swimming State Championship meet

For the second time in back to back years , our ladies returned home as NCISAA Division 3 Girls' Swimming State Champions. This is the second state swimming title in school history.

For the 1st time in school history, our Volleyball team finished the season as NCISAA 2A State Champions after beating Davidson Day 3-1.
